چکیده

Perturbative expansion in the nonperturbative confining QCD background is formulated. The properly renormalized α S (R) is shown to be finite at large distances, with the string tension playing the role of an infrared regulator. The infra–red renormalons are shown to be absent in the new perturbation series.

Nonperturbative QCD approach is systematically derived starting from the QCD Lagrangian. Treating spin effects as a perturbation, one obtains the universal effective Hamiltonian describing mesons, hybrids and glueballs. Constituent mass of quark and gluon is calculated via string tension. The resulting spectrum of mesons, hybrids and glueballs obtained is in good overall agreement with lattice ...

These lectures give an introduction to thermal perturbation theory, hard thermal loops, and their use in a nonperturbative, approximately self-consistent resummation of the thermodynamical potentials of quantum chromodynamics.

A quasiparticle description of the thermodynamics of deconfined matter, reproducing both the perturbative limit and nonperturbative lattice QCD data at finite temperature, is generalized to finite chemical potential. By a flow equation resulting from Maxwell's relation, the equation of state is extended from zero to non-zero quark densities. The impact of the massive strange flavor is considere...

The background field formalism is used to implement nonpertur-bative QCD contributions into diagrammatic technic at T > 0. The leading terms both in the confining and nonconfining phase are identified at large N c and the transition temperature is calculated in this limit, which appears to be in good agreement with the Monte Carlo calculations.

Recent developments in Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) are reviewed on three major topics where nonper-turbative gluon excitations of the QCD vacuum and the physical properties of the confining flux play a central role: (1) New lattice results on the spectrum and wave functions of heavy QQgluon molecules, known as heavy hybrids, will be discussed. (2) Recent advances on the glueball spectrum in la...
